Brown Duty Belts from JayPee®

| JayPee manufactures a high quality line of
uniform and duty belts. Among these are Sam Browne style pistol
belts.
 Sam
Browne belts are a combination of a pistol belt or garrison belt and a
shoulder strap (and D-rings). The Sam Browne belt was named
after General Sir Samuel J. Browne, 1824-1901, of the British Army in
India.) The strap was intended to help carry the weight of a heavy
pistol.
 The
Sam Browne belts come in a standard black finish. An optional
chestnut (dark) brown (see lower belt in picture at right) is available as a
special order item and costs about 25% more.
Sam Browne belts are also available without a shoulder strap as a
plain pistol belt.
We also offer a combination of Garrison belt and shoulder strap
with D-Rings (our Sam Browne Jr.)

We keep a range of plain and basketweave belts and
straps on hand. Clarino finish and extra large sizes are special
order, please allow an additional 3 business days for processing.

The basketweave belt is shown in the upper
part of the illustration, the plain belt below it.
When determining a size for a Sam Browne belt (duty
belts are worn over a trouser belt) a good starting point is one size
up from regular belt size.
The Shoulder Strap
| 1¼" belt leather shoulder strap; includes 2
slide-on 1/2" D-Rings, D-Rings have 2 snaps for a more
contemporary look; |
| unlined in two finishes: plain and basketweave; fully
lined in clarino finish; |
| in fixed, even lengths with about 2½" of
adjustment; |
To Order:
Measure diagonally across the shoulder from the top of the
belt in front to the top of the belt in the rear; the point of
measurement should be just to the rear of the first belt loop on the
uniform trousers in the front and between the center and adjacent belt
loops in the rear. The D-rings add about 10" to the overall
length; sizes given are for the shoulder strap WITH the D-rings.
for example: if the length you measured is
34" or 35", then order a size 34 shoulder strap;
